In one of our favorite photos from the day, even though you can’t see him, Bryan is hiding behind a door he is holding open–just so Olivia can snap the cutest shot of us in front of the door, sharing a moment of laughter.
The flight to their wedding left without them…
but they hitched a ride with family and made it a wedding road trip instead. From South Carolina they came. And to a corner coffee roastery they arrived.
It was a coffee shop kind of commitment in one of the most unique Milwaukee wedding venues
Milwaukee Wisconsin Wedding
They had their first look on a creaking wooden staircase from the early 1900’s. Warm, hazy rays streamed through the windows of the historic VRBO they had rented for them and their families. A warm hushed silence fell across the floor below as their families let the couple soak in this moment.
Unique Wedding Venues Milwaukee
With the scent of fresh ground coffee beans on the mind, they made their way to Anodyne Coffee Roasters Co. Guests held steaming mugs of espresso in their hands while Lisa and Arie exchanged vows under a chuppah, a Jewish marriage tradition. Across the structure was draped her great grandfathers prayer shawl.
Drew of Flowers for Dreams wove together all the best vibes of the day for this unique Milwaukee wedding –
“taking inspiration from the venue, your floral will consist of organic jewel tones in ruby red, golden mustard, softened by hints of champagne, toffee, ivory and emerald assorted foliage.”
And so it was. Eclectic bud vases lined the long wooden tables and tiny tea lights twinkled merrily.
Anodyne Coffee Wedding
Anodyne Coffee Roasters Co, on Bruce street, it just a few minutes away from some amazing photo opportunities – including Lakeshore State Park, Discovery World, and the Historic Third Ward. Not to mention that their evening bar includes both coffee AND beer/wine. It’s the physical representation of our fav coffee til’ cocktails slogan.
Lisa and Arie’s theme of minimalist romantic was true to their personalities. They kept things simple- with no wedding party and a shared first dance with both sets of parents on the dance floor. These pointed decisions brought attention to the things that mattered most to them- their love for each other and their families. (But also, sharing that first husband/wife dance with your others on the dance floor means less eyes on you [great news for us introverted folks ;)])
A little bit of history, a sprinkle of Jewish tradition, and a large helping of coffee shop comfort – the perfect mix of all things intimate and most meaningful in Lisa and Arie’s lives

“Bryan and Olivia constantly went above and beyond what we expected. Thoughtful and prepared”
— Lisa & Arie
“My husband and I got married at Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co. in Milwaukee, WI.
We felt comfortable with Olivia and Bryan from the very first few minutes of our initial zoom meeting, which is a true testament to the warm, kind people that they are. [During our engagement session, they] brought a pop up tent for us to use to change into different outfits, because that’s just who [they are]: thoughtful and prepared.
On wedding day, Bryan and Olivia constantly went above and beyond what we expected. For example, Olivia just happened to have two crochet hooks on hand (one of which she gave to me) to help with the buttons on my wedding dress.
In sum, Bryan and Olivia are a wonderful, supportive, organized team, and we couldn’t be happier we hired them. You should too.”
