Soft, neutral, simple, and memories to last a lifetime (oh, and really good wine;) ) – as they said their vows in the beams of setting sun, that theme of Lily and Liam’s Door County wedding glowed brightly. Waves lapped merrily as their 15 guests gathered round.

Door County Venue for a Small Wedding

The Little Harbor Inn is a modern, Victorian inspired home venue that is nestled right off the shores of Sturgeon Bay. Inside, bright rooms match the upbeat energy of the intimate events that the little inn hosts. It’s romantic, cozy, and every bit of perfection for a Door County elopement or small Door County wedding. Not to mention, they’re dog friendly! Peep little Maggie being the most perfect flower girl during Lily and Liam’s wedding. 

Sweet warm light, the kind that fills not just a whole space, but your whole soul, streamed in through the windows of Lily’s room. Her mom, sisters, and cousins danced around her, pouring champagne and fixing those final strands of hair. The room was full of pure joy. Lily floated around that room, effortlessly graceful, and free.

Sunset Ceremony in Door County

As the sun’s rays turned from soft white to a rich orange, seagulls called gently overhead. On the Sturgeon Bay shoreline where they had just said their vows, the newlyweds shared their first dance.  Soon after they headed  inside for an intimate candlelit family dinner. 

Family Style Wedding Meal

Wine flowed and plates were piled high with steaming paella. Liam’s family had brought gleaming bottles of deep red and crispy white wine from their California vineyard – Glunz Family Winery. The long farm style table was filled with fresh greenery and endless laughter. Their microwedding menu included salmon pate, glistening green olives, fresh shucked oysters with sliced lemons, and a chilled gazpacho. 

Liam was leaving soon- with orders to deploy overseas- but that didn’t mean the couple couldn’t have the wedding of their dreams. Elegance, and whimsy, and madly in love – the perfect combination for Lily & Liam’s once-in-a-lifetime evening wedding.
