That pan of lasagna they’ll never forget. The hand embroidered bunny dish rags from grandma. The way sunlight streams through their front window every evening. These are a few of their favorite memories of their little home. Inside this apartment they’ve listen to hours of Harry Styles vinyls and even hosted their elopement reception with family and friends on folding chairs.

The sweet sound of Post Malone and sizzling taco meat filled the kitchen. With cold beers and corn tortillas in hand, they shared a Sunday night meal. They even recreated the famous Last Supper painting by Leonardo da Vinci.

Truth be told, Anya and I (Olivia), met on instagram. It began with a few “wow your work is amazing!” on each others’ work, before long we were fast friends, occasional associates, and full-on cheerleaders to each other’s businesses’. Anya is an INCREDIBLE photographer– one that is on the tippy top of our referral list. She’s also a great friend. Which made this session even more special. Anya and Diego invited me into their home, fed me tacos, and at the end of the day, sent me back with a cheeseboard. They are gracious, authentic humans (and even sent us a Culver’s gift card once!)

Couples Roller Skating

Olive , the bunny, scampered here and there before sprawling out in sunshine patch on the carpet. Anya and Diego pulled out their favorite vinyls before grabbing Olive for a little sunshine cuddle. Of course, Harry Styles black and white, transparent vinyl made an appearance. (I mean c’mon- you had me at Harry Styles).

As the sun sank behind nearby apartments, we took their Madison in-home photography session to the neighbor. They laced up their skates, dawned his favorite hat and that lucky jacket she found in an airpot, and skated away. Skating is something that they love to do together.

Anya and Diego are moving away from their little apartment. Before the boxes are packed, we took this opportunity to capture life in their home .
