They planned their first dance for months – and it includes an outfit change
Not only was mom’s wedding gown transformed into Megan’s getting ready robes, but also Riley’s suit coat jacket was custom embroidered with his and Megan’s wedding date over his heart, along with a photo pin of a near and dear family member.
Madison Club Wedding
Before their ceremony, they shared a first look in the Atrium of the Madison Club. Sunshine poured in from the ceiling of windows, giving an elevated greenhouse feel.
Under twinkling chandeliers of the Louise Marston Conklin Room, Megan and Riley said their vows. A spectacular wildflower arrangement nestled above the fireplace left guests in awe. As Riley’s wife-to-be walked down the aisle to him, his eyes welled with tears.
The two were wed in a tender ceremony, officiated by Ry’s great uncle. After officially tying the knot, the two joined their guests in a whimsical cocktail hour in the Terrace Room next door. Panoramic views of Lake Monona filled the room with light to match the joyful mood.
The feeling of their families adoration for each other and Megan + Riley swirled merrily around the room.
Wildflower Themed Wedding
Their organic wildflower theme juxtaposed perfectly against the sophisticated winding staircases and eclectic wallpapers of the Madison Club.
A mix of Yellow Cottage Yarrow, Maiden hair ferns, Gooseneck, Local Grasses and Eryngium Blue Glitter brought out the organic and fresh textures. Daffodil Parker knocked the this summer wildflower themed wedding at The Madison Club out of the park!
Vivid wisteria, soft periwinkle, sweet yellow, and sky blue were scattered throughout various elements of the day. Bridesmaids dresses, table linens, and even the uplighting colors all evoked the sweetest aspects of summer.
The Madison Club
Riley and Megan are known for their light heartedness, love for their pup Bennie , and excitement for board and card games. Each of those elements came together throughout their day. Firstly in the Bennie socks Riley wore and finally to the custom playing cards they gifted each guest.
Their goal? Learning to dance. Thus, the first dance of a lifetime came to be. Guests chattered with drinks in hand and bellies full of pesto salmon. All of a sudden, Megan appeared in a sassy, fringe two-piece gown. She performed a surprise quick change.
After months of practice with Fred Astaire Madison West leading up to their wedding day, the two performed the spiciest first dance we’ve ever seen. Family cheered as Riley dipped Megan low, her fringe cascading like waterfalls. The only thing swirling faster than the newlyweds was the exhilaration.
Finally, the sun began to set and the newlyweds stole away for a few moments of bliss filled sunset photos in front of the Madison Capital building. Riley turned to his new wife, a tender half smile on his face and whispered “hey…we’re married!” As a matter of fact, they absolutely are. And they have the personalized playing cards with their wedding date to prove it 😉
